TeensandTech
There is a huge interest in how teenagers use technology. I’ve written about their use of Facebook, texting, cyber-bullying, sexting – the good and the bad. But, it is a really big subject and I didn’t want Tangerinetimes to be over-run with JUST
technology. There are other teenage topics I want to cover like dating, driving, how bad their room smells…you know, important stuff. So, Tangerinetimes will be the blog for “all things teenager” and TeensandTech will be dedicated solely to teenagers and their love affair with technology. I launched a separate blog called TeensandTech where I’ll write only about teenagers and their use of technology.
Parenting Support NOT Judgment
TeensandTech is about empowering parents. Technology is exponentially changing and it is increasingly difficult to stay current. It’s also very difficult for the average parent to understand how their teen is using social media, the internet, texting, flip cams and smartphones. TeensandTech will be a resource for any information you may need on those subjects. There’s lots of information about how adults use technology but as a parent of teens myself, I look for trends and view information in terms of how it effects my parenting. I think that most parents often don’t know where to look and feel overwhelmed by their teens’ seemingly “expert” use of technology. This can be intimidating for some parents and always frustrating.
Tangerinetimes will continue to be the place for all things teenager and I will still write about technology as it pertains to driving (especially) but in general, all technology will be moved to TeensandTech (although I’ll still archive my past technology articles on Tangerinetimes for a while).
