I saw this article and it reminded me of a conversation with my daughter recently.  It seems our new backyard is finally the best backyard for a good old-fashioned slip’n slide party.  Poor deprived children, evidently we have not had the perfect Slip ‘n Slide backyard until their ripe old ages of 14 and 16!   I’m being a little sarcastic but in fairness to her, she’s right.  The house she grew up in had a short front yard bi-sected by a sidewalk – they never could get up enough running room to get a full on slide.  There was always the build up and anticipation every summer but the actual sliding was somewhat anti-climatic.

Now, it seems we have the perfect backyard.  So I guess this means I’m to welcome  hoards of hairy, chested boys and bikini-clad girls with their bits hanging out so they can “slide” in my backyard.  I was feeling a little wary, then I read this article in the Wisconsin Tribune and thought differently.
