While you may be paying, and therefore have some say in how he lives/eats, that's where your responsibility ends and his begins. Helicopter parenting needs to end somewhere. I can't imagine how mortifying it would be to have MOMMY calling the professor. NEVER, EVER jump in to rescue a college age kid. They're adults, in the eyes of the law, and they need to learn to behave accordingly. I think parents SHOULD NOT get involved in the academic aspects of their college kid’s life.
